The Akshaya Patra Foundation or TAPF is the world’s largest midday meal provider for underprivileged children. It has provided over 3 billion meals across India linking the need for education with the need for nourishment.

During the Corona Virus pandemic, the charity launched a state-of-the-art kitchen in Watford, North London with the help of the GMSP Foundation. The kitchen has already provided over 500,000 nourishing Ayurveda-inspired vegetarian meals to the neediest, mainly children. Our efforts to actively provide food relief to the victims of the war in Ukraine has found recognition too.

”We receive this award on behalf of the millions of children and persons we serve. “

– Bhawani Singh Shekhawat, CEO of TAPF UK-Europe.
